In terms of comedy, I think The Big Lebowski and Office Space are must-sees.

Clerks 1 and 2 - Comedy
21 - Not sure what genre this is really
Planet Terror - Horror
Deathproof - Horror (Both Deathproof and Planet Terror are meant to look old)
Get Carter - Gangster - 1971 one, not the remake
Trainspotting - Could be classed as comedy
28 Days Later - Horror
The Shawshank Redemption
Smokin' Aces - Gangster
American History X - Only seen it once, so not really sure on the genre
Layer Cake - Gangster
Lock Stock - Gangster
Bourne Trilogy - Very good films
Hot Fuzz - Great comedy
Shawn of the Dead - Zom Rom Com, same director and main cast as Hot Fuzz, both are fantastic. Shawn of the Dead is a spoof of Dawn of the Dead

When I can be arsed to get up, I'll have a look though my collection and find some more.
